Educational visit: Dept. of Home science

Besant Women’s College had organized an educational visit to Shree Dharmasthala Nature Cure Hospital and Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Women’s ITI College at Ujire on 02/12/2022, by the department of Home Science.

Students of Home Science visited Naturopathy Hospital which is a medical system that has evolved from a combination of traditional practises and health care. Students also gathered information on different Diets served for the patients. Different treatments like Mud bath, Steam bath which were allotted for women patients were also available. Dr Deeksha guided and the Students gathered a lot of information about the hospital.

Home Science students also visited SDM Women’s ITI at ujire, which included different types of Sewing machines and fashion design models. Mrs. Nishmitha, a faculty from ITI College explained very well on different aspects of design technology. On the whole the visit was an informative one.
