E-Waste Management

The department of data processing conducted their ambitious Competitionprogramme on e-Wastage Management on January 13, 2017.

Several wasted, non-functional electronic products such as resistors,capacitors, keys from Computer Keyboards, Mother Board Parts etc were collectedfrom various sources and very innovative items such as Photo frames, Pen Stand,Piano Tree with fruits etc; were made.

The entire responsibility of collecting the e-waste to assembling them was thejob of the Students. All the students of BA–DP worked in groups and madeunimaginable things out of this waste. It was a pleasure watching the Studentswork on e-waste.

Ms. Savithri Rao, HoD, Data Processing was the coordinator of the programme.Dr. Meenakshi K, HoD, Department of Kannada and office Superintendent Mrs.Rajeevi were the judges of the competition.

The principal, Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P. showed a keen interest in thecompetition. “Such programmes wake up the mind from its slumber,” said thePrincipal during his visit to the competition.

Many students participated in the competition and an equal number visited thevenue to have a look at the innovative conversion of e-waste into lovelylooking curios or desktop items.
