COLLEGE UNION ELECTION THROUGH E-VOTING (2019-20)
The Student Union election of the college forthis academic year was conducted through E-Voting on Tuesday 2nd July 2019. Students enthusiastically participated in E-voting to elect Swati Rao M of Final B.Com as President,Vaishnavi of Final B.Sc.FND as VicePresident, Shilpa – II B.Com as Secretary and Dhanyashree I B.Sc.FND as JointSecretary.
Thecollege principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P., after declaring the resultssaid, numerous curricular and co-curricular activities have been planned forthis academic year and newly elected student leaders must motivate theircounter parts to participate in all the programmes. They must rendernon-discriminative student union administration and equal treatment to allother students. He called for students develop a ‘swatch’ personality besidesmaintaining ‘swatcch’ environment.
College correspondent Sri. K. Devananda Paicongratulating the newly elected student leaders reminded them the support andcooperation of those who are lost in the election and those who have voted forthem is also to be sought during working in team. Quoting from his work experience as a MCCcorporator he said, developing a good image and striving for development is atrue mark of a good leader. He wished well to the new student cabinet.
The student welfare officer Prof. MeeraEdna Coelho thanked. ‘E-Voting’ asoftware developed by Dept. of Computer Science, is instrumental in facilitating this electionfrom passed 5 year in Besant Women’sCollege.
