Certificate Course on Master Data Analytics using Power BI: Department of Computer Application
The Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Besant Women’s College, organized a Certificate Course on Master Data Analytics. The course was inaugurated on 7th July 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Computer Lab 2.
The Chief Guest for the inauguration was Dr. Manjula K. T., Vice President of WNES and Correspondent of Besant Women’s College in the presence of Dr. Praveen Kumar KC, Principal. She appreciated the department’s initiative in introducing industry-relevant, skill-based training for students. Mr. Prithviraj, Managing Director, Encode-Datatech, served as the Resource Person for the course.
The certificate course focused on key areas such as database handling, Power BI visualization, and model deployment. Through interactive and practical sessions, students learned to analyse datasets, create dashboards, and derive meaningful insights from data. The hands-on training enabled participants to understand real-world applications of Power BI in business analytics.
A total of 41 students from the BCA Department enrolled in the course. The sessions were conducted over a period of four weeks, combining theoretical concepts with extensive lab-based learning. Participants displayed great enthusiasm and actively engaged in all sessions.
At the end of the program, certificates of completion were awarded to all successful participants by the department and the resource person. This initiative highlights the Department of Computer Applications continued commitment to equipping students with emerging technologies and promoting career-oriented education.
