The Department of Secretarial Practice in association with IQAC organized Career Guidance Programme on 9th October 2025 in the College Auditorium.

Dr. Nancy H. Vaz (Retired Professor and Former Registrar, St. Agnes College (Autonomous) was the resource person.

The programme was designed tobe highly interactive and activity based, allowing students to gain a practical understanding of the skills, qualities and professional competencies required to succeed in their career path.

Principal, Dr. Praveen Kumar K. C. presided over the function. HoD, Ms. Ranjini, announced the names of prize winners of Invitation Designing Competition and the prizes were distributed.

Ms. Lakshmi Prabhu-I BA Invoked god's blessings. Ms. Ayesha Firdouse-II BA welcomed the gathering. Sahar-III BA introduced the guest. Ms. Raabiya-I BA proposed Vote of Thanks. Ms. Sanjana-II BA compered the programme.

Dr. Sathisha-IQAC coordinator, faculty members Ms. Vidya Bhat, Ms. Devika, Ms. Chanchalakshi, Ms. Shaila Kamath and Mr. Girish Kumar were present during the programme.

Objectives:

  • To offer insights into various professions, educational pathways, job market trends, and required skills.
  • To help individuals understand their unique strengths, interests, aptitudes, values, and personality to find suitable careers.
  • To bring awareness on the significance of Secretarial Practice course.

Outcomes:

  • Participants gained clear understanding of Secretarial Practice as a professional career path
  • Brought awareness of diverse roles such as Company Secretary, Executive Assistant, HR Manager, Front Office Manager, Public Relation Officer etc.
  • Participants recognised the importance of Office Administration and Management, Communication and Interpersonal Skills,
  • Readiness to meet employer expectations in administrative and secretarial roles.
