Blood Donation Camp: Youth Red Cross

Youth Red Cross association Besant Women’s College organised a Blood Donation Camp on March 18th, 2024 at College Auditorium. Chief Guest were Lion Charan Alva President Lions Club Ambikanagar, Lion Satish S Shetty President Lions Club Kavoor, Ms. Deekshitha TS Program Officer and Devishree R Rai Association Secretary. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, staff and other volunteers, reinforcing the spirit of Community service and humanitarian ism that Red Cross stands for.

Objectives:

To educate the students and staff about the importance & benefits of blood donation.
To inspire individuals to donate blood voluntarily and regularly.
To cultivate a sense of social responsibility and community service among students.

Outcome:

Enhanced awareness about the importance of blood donation among students & staff, resulting in many pledging to donate regularly. The Camp was conducted safely and efficiently, with all donors undergoing all preliminary checks and post donation care.
