Beautician Course programme - Department of Commerce and Business Administration

The Department of Commerce and Business Administration organized a Beautician Course programme on 2 March 2026 in the college auditorium. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of around 60 students, reflecting keen interest among students in skill development and career-oriented training beyond academics.

The event began with a formal inauguration through the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and prosperity. The ceremony was graced by the Principal, Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., and the Dean and Head of the Department, Prof. Syed Kahdar, along with other faculty members of the department.

The programme was effectively compered by Ms. Nethra of Second B.Com, who conducted the session smoothly and maintained the flow of events. Mrs. Vidya Bhat delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the chief guests, dignitaries, staff members, and students. She emphasized the importance of skill-based courses in enhancing students’ career prospects and self-employment opportunities.

On the occasion, the Principal, Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of vocational education alongside regular academic programmes. He encouraged students to make use of such opportunities to develop practical skills that can support entrepreneurship and financial independence.

Prof. Syed Kahdar, Dean and Head of the Department, also spoke on the occasion. He stressed the relevance of beauty and wellness training in today’s growing service industry and motivated students to actively participate and gain hands-on experience from the course.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Ashaf, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, Dean, faculty members, resource persons, organizers, and students for their support and participation in making the event successful.
