Basic Embroidery Stitches Training: Innovation Club

The Innovation Club of our college organized training on basic embroidery stitches by hand on 4th May 2024 in Room no F12. Our own students Ms. Pranamya and Ms. Ashiya from II B.Sc. Home Science, Ms. Keerthana and Ms. Nikhitha from I B.Sc. Home Science were the trainers. Number of students participated 32.

They taught 10 different stitches like; Running stitch, back stitch, chain stitch Laizy daizy, Rose, Satin, Blanket stitch, French knot, Bull knot, Stem stitch.

Objectives:

• To equip students with necessary embroidery skills.
• To generate feelings of accomplishment and build self-confidence
• To improve the concentration power with the students
• To help the students focus -keeping worries and the chaotic thoughts of daily life away.

Outcomes:

• Students learnt variety of stitches, keeping them engaged with intricate hand movement and fine-tuned focus.
• Helped them to create and develop new designs
• They could get relief from stress and anxiety
