Awareness Programme on Fire Safety, Health Safety, and Disaster Management: NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized an event on Fire Safety, Health Safety, and Disaster Management on 31.08.2024, with the objective of enhancing awareness and preparedness among students and staff. The session was expertly led by Mr. Sathyaraj, a seasoned fire and safety officer, who provided comprehensive training on essential safety measures and disaster management strategies. The event, presided over by Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., Principal of Besant Women’s College, emphasized the importance of safety preparedness in academic institutions. Through detailed presentations on fire safety, health safety protocols, and disaster management strategies, student participants were equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively to emergencies. The session was highly interactive, featuring Question and Answer segments and practical demonstrations that reinforced the learning experience. The event was deemed a resounding success, significantly contributing to the overall safety and well-being of the college community.
