Awarding Top Scorer and Book Release - Dept. of SP

The Department of Secretarial Practice of Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru, organised a programme of awarding top scorer. M.L.A. Mangalore South Shri D. Vedavyasa Kamath was the chief guest.  The students who got highest marks in semester exam of Secretarial Practice subjects conducted by Mangalore University in the year 2017-18 were honoured. The top scorers were Mufeeds, Arpitha, Drishti Sahal, Selmiya, Annath, Prajna. The students those got more than 90% were also honoured.  They are Annapoorna, Smitha Almada, Malavika, Lakshmi Bhandary, Fouzia, Asmul Ashura, Veekshitha.

The chief guest said, the college life is a golden life and students should make use of the best opportunities available. The self-confidence helps to achieve the goals.

The book written by the alumni of the college Ms.Zinath Hussain was released during the occasion.  Principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P addressed the gathering and said that it is appreciable that the students are performing academically well and they also participate in outreach activities.  Shri K. Devananda Pai, correspondent of the college presided over the function.  HOD of Secretarial Practice Prof. Hemalatha welcomed the gathering. Prof. Vidya Bhat introduced the author and the book.  Prof. Ranjini read out names of top scorers and winners of different competitions. The students those who have rendered excellent services to the department were honoured  The lecturer from different departments, President of Lion’s Club, Chota Manglauru Smt. Kripa Shetty, Sri. Suresh Mallya, Sri. Baikadi Janardhan Acharya were present.  Prof. Shaila Kamath proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Asmul Ashura compered the programme.
