Annual Sports Meet: 2017-2018
The annual sports meet of Besant Women’s college was declared open on23rd January 2018 at Mangala Stadium by Tharanath Shetty,Corporation Bank Employee and veteran sports person. Inaugurating the event he addressed thestudents and participants of the athletic meet said sports besides help winningtrophies and prizes, support in personality development social participationand public relation. Moreover, thesportsmanship developed during the student years will be helpful in managingthe stress in professional life in the future. College sports meet helps in identifying the natural ability in sportsand developing them. A daily practice ofsport even for short while, helps the students to get opportunity inuniversity, state or national level sports events, he opined.
Student sports secretary Vennella administered the oath to the athletes.College principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P., welcomed, Correspondent K.Devananada Pai and PTA president K. Sadashava Shetty were on the dais. Physical Director Ms. Sowmya thanked.
Megha of second B.Com emerged as the overall champion of the athleticmeet. Commerce division won the first place in march-past.
