The 47th Annual Athletic Meet was organized by the Department of Physical Education at Mangala Stadium on Friday, April 4, 2025. Mrs. Rashmi K. M., District Women and Child Development Officer of Dakshina Kannada, was the chief guest for the event.

While declaring the meet open, Mrs. Rashmi addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of sports in developing both physical and mental well-being. She encouraged them by saying, “Do not get carried away by victory, nor disheartened by defeat. Have the courage to accept both with equal grace.”

WNES President Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak, Secretary Mr. P. Suresh Pai, Vice Secretary, and Correspondent Dr. Manjula K. T. also inspired the students to actively participate in sports along with their academic pursuits.

The day began with an impressive march past by the students, with over 600 participants taking part. The Sports Secretary, Ms. Rachana of III BCA, administered the oath on behalf of all the participants.

Mrs. Shaila Kamath, Lecturer, welcomed the gathering, while Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar K. C. introduced the chief guest. The vote of thanks was delivered by the Director of Physical Education, Mrs. Roopathi M.

The Overall Individual Championship was awarded to Ms. Manasa K. V. of III BCA (UG SECTION) and Ms. Deeksha S of II M.COM (PG SECTION). The college flag was lowered by the Principal, officially marking the close of the Athletic Meet.
